Morning Smoothie and Leg Workout

Well Hello!  It is freezing outside today!  This has to be my least favorite time of the year.  It’s cold but there’s no snow.  If there was snow, I wouldn’t be complaining.  I was checking out the websites of some of my favorite ski hills in Vermont and many of them have opened already!  I can’t wait to get out with the family.

So this past weekend I went to my Hubby’s gym.  We haven’t worked out together for a while so it was nice and I got to kick his butt!  I put him through the following leg workout.  He was pretty tired afterwards 😉

I made this green shake this morning for breakfast.  It’s pretty good!


  • 3 cups of spinach
  • 1 1/2 – 2 cups ice
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk

Directions:  Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Enjoy 🙂


Pineapple Spinach Smoothie

Wednesday was bitter sweet.  My baby sister went back to school.  I won’t see her until Thanksgiving. Poor little A was so upset.  She cried all night.


And today is also my niece’s first birthday.  WOW I can’t get over how quickly this year has gone by.

This morning’s smoothie is one of my favs.  So refreshing and the kids love it too.

Pineapple Spinach Smoothie


  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 2 big handfuls of spinach
  • 2 cups water

Blend until smooth.


Mango Banana Spinach Smoothie

Mango’s just remind me of the summer.  With the kids gearing up to go back to school and the  cooler evenings upon us, it’s a reminder that fall is just around the corner.  I made this smoothie today just to hold on to that “summer feeling” a little bit longer.  It was a beautiful morning.  So warm with the sun beaming down.  I knew that there wouldn’t be many more Sunday’s like this for the next little while so I grabbed my smoothie and sat out on the deck. Pure Bliss 🙂Image

Mango Banana Spinach SmoothieImage

3 cups of baby spinach
1 1/2 cups of Vanilla Almond Milk
1 cup of frozen mango
1 frozen banana, in chunks
1 tbsp of Chia Seed

Blend until Smooth.
