Mango Apple Banana Green Smoothie and our 21 day Fitness Challenge!!!!

Are you guys feeling as gross and as guilty as I am because you got into your kids Halloween candy once they went to bed?  Why do we do this to ourselves!!!

I got up this morning and knew that I needed to start the day off on a “clean” note.

Here’s another Mango smoothie that I threw together.  I feel like I’ve posted a lot of smoothies that have mango’s in them and it’s not because I LOVE mango’s but the frozen bags were on sale and I’m cheap 😉

MANGO APPLE BANANA GREEN SMOOTHIE

  • 1/3 cup plain, non fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup milk of your choice
  • 2 cups baby spinach leaves
  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • 1 cup frozen (or fresh) mango
  • 1  banana
  • Honey to taste (optional)
  • 1  cup ice cubes

Add all ingredients in the Vitamix (or the blender of your choice) and blend until smooth.

Today is November 1st and marks the first day of our 21 day fitness challenge.  Why 21 days?  Because it takes 21 days (3 weeks) to break a habit and implement a new one.

I chose three exercises that you are to do every single day for 21 days.  To get the most out of this challenge and to really see results, you can’t skip a day.  You don’t need to do all of the exercises or all of the reps all at once, you can do them throughout the day.  Just make sure you do them!

Here are the three exercises:

  • 100 Crunches Per Day.
  • 100 Squats Per Day.
  • 25 Pushups Per Day.

Remember, these exercises do not need to be consecutive.  Sneak them in when you get up in the morning, during your lunch break, between commercial breaks.  Have fun with this challenge and keep me posted.  Let me know how you’re doing and how you’re feeling.
