Tuesday’s 30 minute Workout.

This is my first week back at work.  I’ve been off with the little monsters kids for most of the summer.  Needless to say, I’m exhausted.  I normally try to do my workouts at lunch so that my nights are free to take the kids to their activities or do normal “house” stuff but I had promised a friend that I would work out with her.   We were both  pretty beat so we made this a quickie.

Today’s workout will take you about 30 minutes.

Always make sure to warm up before any workout.  I always recommend approximately 10 minutes of light jogging, skipping and/or dynamic stretching. Just make sure to get your heart rate going and your joints moving.

Okay on to the good stuff.

Today’s workout consists of 3 circuits.  There are 3 exercises in each circuit.  Perform each exercise in the circuit and repeat the circuit 4 x before moving on to the next circuit.

 Circuit 1

  • Weighted Plier squat (you can use a medicine ball, kettlebell, or weight) (20 reps)
  • Tricep Dips (20 Reps)
  • Kettlebell swings (20 reps)

Repeat 4 xImage

Circuit 2

  •  Push ups (20)
  • Shoulder press (20)
  • Back rows (I used the TRX but you can also use a kettlebell or weight or a bar at the park) (20 reps)

Repeat 4x

Circuit 3

This one is timed.  Perform each exercise for 30 seconds with 10 seconds rest between exercises.

  • Skipping
  • Squat Jumps
  • Bicycle crunch

Bonus tip:  space out your exercises in each circuit so that you can jog to them.
