So my short term memory is crap but I can remember useless information like jump rope rhymes from when I was young…go figure!

Who would have thought that when we were jumping rope as kids it was so good for us.  If you want to burn calories, improve your cardiovascular fitness, get a toned bottom and legs then I encourage you to pick up a skipping rope and give it a try.  Jumping rope requires mostly leg strength.  Try not only jumping up and down but move side to side, forward and back and alternate jumping on one leg.

If you’re short on time, travelling or just want to SKIP the gym, then pick yourself up a skipping rope.  They’re inexpensive and very portable and FUN 🙂

    Hilarious fella/snake rhyme! I’ve never heard it before. Love skipping (especially now that I have a wicked ass skipping rope from Rouge) and I’m trying to concur more than 20 double-unders in a row. The rope whips my elbows soo bad that I have countless bruises on them, constantly.

      Good for you on trying double unders. Those are tough! I can do a few in a row and then get tangled up 😉
      It makes a huge difference with a good skipping rope though!
